Quality control (QC) is the process of ensuring that products and services meet customer requirements and industry standards. In manufacturing, QC is essential for producing high-quality parts that are accurate, reliable, and consistent. Yuehu concentrate on improving the quality of parts and customers’ satisfication. Thus, quality is the basis of Yuehu’s developmengt.
Types of QC in manufacturing
There are many different QC measures that can be implemented in manufacturing, but some of the most common include:
- Incoming material inspection: Before machining begins, it is important to inspect the raw materials to ensure that they meet specifications. This may involve checking the material’s composition, hardness, and dimensions.
- First article inspection: Once the CNC machine has been set up, a first article inspection should be performed to verify that the part is being produced correctly. This inspection should be compared to the engineering drawing to ensure that all dimensions and tolerances are met.
- In-process inspection: Throughout the machining process, it is important to perform in-process inspections to ensure that the parts are meeting specifications. This may involve checking the part’s dimensions, surface finish, and other critical features.
- Final inspection: Once the part has been machined, a final inspection should be performed to verify that it meets all requirements. This inspection is typically more thorough than the in-process inspections and may involve using specialized equipment, such as coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
